Rotherham Town Centre

Rotherham town centre is a bustling and vibrant place to shop with 150 shops within easy walking distance of the modern bus and rail interchange.

At the centre of things is the Rotherham Town Centre Initiative, which has helped bring about a real increase in town centre footfall. More than 10,000 people a day pass through the Interchange, with its interlinked bus station, taxi rank, multi-storey car park, shopping mall and nearby rail station. Shopmobility, close to the Interchange entrance, makes it easy for people with mobility difficulties to shop in Rotherham.

Simultaneous improvements are taking place in the rest of the town centre. Street entertainment and shopping initiatives are burgeoning, the Churches Tourism initiative is beginning to have an impact, the canalside has been revitalised, and improvements to signing, interpretation and landscaping are making the town centre a safer and more exciting place to visit.

All Saint's Square is being developed to enhance the area and improve facilities.
