The Service We Provide
Streetpride is responsible for maintaining highway structures, such as road bridges, footbridges, subways, culverts and retaining walls on the public highway and on definitive footpaths. Definitive footpaths are those footpaths shown on the
Definitive Map.
In order to keep highway structures in a well maintained and safe condition, we have a team of engineers who carry out regular inspections and ensure that action is taken about:-
- structural defects
- graffiti on subways
- dangerous retaining walls
- embankment slips
We provide
advice to hauliers about the routing of abnormally heavy loads through the borough.
The Service You Can Expect
We aim to ensure that highway users can be assured of their safety when crossing rivers, railways and other obstacles to the highway, that highway structures are well maintained and that their appearance is in keeping with their surroundings.
The Service We Achieve
All bridges and subways receive a structural inspection at least every two years.
Subways are regularly cleaned of graffiti and, in the case of reported offensive graffiti, within 24 hours of notification on working days.
