Fly Posting

Fly posting is an illegal, anti-social activity that creates a negative impression of an area and contributes to people's fear of crime.

The service we provide

Streetpride is dedicated to removing unauthorised posters throughout the borough. We have a policy of making repeat offenders remove their fly posters within a week, or face the possibility of being prosecuted.

Streetpride's Cleansing Team will remove the fly posting, and the Environmental Wardens, who are part of the Enviro-Crime Unit, will consider taking enforcement action where appropriate.

With the consent of the property owner, the Council will also consider removing fly posting from private property.

The service you can expect

Hotspot sites around Rotherham are checked for fly posting every week and each incident of fly posting is recorded. The posters are removed by Streetpride’s Graffiti Removal Team. If the fly posting is by a repeat offender, a warning letter is sent to those responsible informing them that they will be prosecuted within 7 days if their posters are not removed.

The service we achieve

All posters have been removed within 1 week of a written warning being issued.
