Devolved Budget

The service we provide

• Streetpride is committed to involving the local community in the continued improvement of the street scene. 
• Streetpride has made a budget available to Area Assemblies for them to use for environmental issues in their areas.
• The "Devolved Budget" is an opportunity for members of the public to choose which parts of their street scene they would like to see improved.
• Streetpride allocates a budget that is split fairly between the 7 Area Assemblies to give local communities a choice where monies are spent.

The service we achieve

• All suggestions from the public are considered when choosing which schemes to implement. This engenders a sense of pride, responsibility and achievement at a local level. 
• Streetpride receives proposals throughout the year. In March, a Devolved Budget Spending Plan is produced. The spending plan lists the schemes which have been chosen by the community and approved by the chair of the area assembly and other local ward members.
• Over the last five years, 950 locally determined projects have been completed at a cost of almost £1.2 million. These projects have made the street scene cleaner and safer.

• All works are carried out by Streetpride and this ensures that the projects are to a high quality and completed within the financial year.
