What services are available?

Meals on Wheels

A two course hot meal with a choice of 10 main courses and 10 desserts is available. The full menu is changed every six weeks and a special festive menu is offered on Christmas Day. Your food is delivered in insulated bags to maintain it’s temperature.

Meals can be delivered either between 11.30am and 2.30pm (Lunchtime Meal Service) or 3.30pm and 6.00pm (Teatime Meal Service), 7 days per week, 365 days per year.

Dietary requirements including diabetic, vegetarian, gluten free, Halal and Caribbean are catered for.

A sandwich delivery service is also available with desserts and drinks along with soup in the winter and salad bowls in the summer.

The cost of the Hot Meals and Sandwich Service is £4.20.

Frozen Meals

Deliveries of frozen food are made every 2 weeks and aim to encourage independence and promote choice. There is a choice of 35 to 40 main courses and desserts chosen from a menu selector booklet.

The meals can be reheated in a microwave, steamer or traditional oven and to help you the following equipment can be hired whilst you are in receipt of the frozen meals service for the following charge:

Payment for all the above services can be made with a payment card at any Post Office.
