The Welfare Rights Service gives advice on benefits to people in Rotherham. In 2002/3 we helped people claim £1.948,963 in benefit entitlements. We have been awarded the Community Legal Service Quality Mark at casework level in Welfare Benefits. The service is free, confidential and impartial.
- From April 2003 the service has changed, as we are required by the Government to offer benefits advice to people receiving non residential care services. This advice will be offered by referrals through Social Services. We can visit people at home and help with forms and appeals.
- The Welfare Rights Service also gives advice to people who are terminally ill and for children and young people with disabilities under the age of 18. Tel: 01709 822448.
